Roughness Coefficient in Euphrates River Reach between Haditha Dam to Ramadi Barrage

Accurate computation of the roughness coefficient is important in studies open channel flow. To measure and identify hydraulic characteristics flow system, model simulation necessary to study get results properties specify Manning Euphrates River. In this study, reach extended along River from Haditha Dam Ramadi Barrage with a distance 169km. The HEC-RAS was implemented simulate within reach. geometry river represented by more than two hundred cross-sections surveyed 2013 2021. calibrated using some observed discharges at Heet gage station for records last five years. Model validated sets water levels different cases manning model. Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) used comparison results. Results showed that value 0.026 bed 0.030 bank. These values gave best coincidence between simulated levels.
